Texas Tack has supplied Cowboys and Ranchers the highest quality tack since 1977. We stepped into the tack business almost by mistake! Our founder began braiding his own headstalls, hobbles, breast collars & reins out of necessity. Growing up in his small Texas town there were no tack and saddle shops which meant that mail order was the only alternative to purchase tack goods. Back then if a cowboy needed something he made it or he did without. It wasn't long before neighbors and friends saw the quality in Gibby's plaited goods and they began ordering strap goods from him. Through the years we have opened two Western Wear Stores and have continued to added various products to our inventory. While we primarily sell our products over the internet, folks still visit the Farm where we are still heavy in selling horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules. We have always made a tuff and affordable product for the real cowboy.

Unlike some of the "big box" retail stores, we don't place everything we sell on the website. If you are looking for something particular, chances are we have it !

New Website Launch
Texas-Tack is currently in the process of re-designing it's website to be more focused on the customer. New features include online order tracking and a new shopping cart format.

Brent Saxon, President of Operations for Texas-Tack believes that the new site will be much more user friendly. "Our goal is for the new site to be the benchmark for doing ecommerce in the equine industry."

Saxon also stated that Texas Tack hopes to see the completion of the upgrade finished by late August of 2005.
